Right on the seafront, this house sets the mood for carefree holidays and long, lazy days by the water. We refreshed the bedrooms, adding light, color, and character. Now each room feels vibrant and inviting, a perfect match to the relaxed coastal vibe.
The lower floor of the house used to look far too simple: just white walls and beds — nothing more. But for a rental property, that wasn’t enough. We wanted the bedrooms to feel cozy, atmospheric, and to look great in photos, since that’s what truly attracts guests. A full renovation wasn’t in the plans this year — the wardrobes and doors were kept as they were, and the budget was limited. Instead, we focused on the details: decorating the walls, adding stylish lighting and soft accents, replacing curtains, and refreshing the textiles. Just a few thoughtful touches — and the space came to life, standing out among standard rental listings.
We decided to keep the beds, as they had been replaced not long ago — they are soft, attractive, and fit nicely into the refreshed interior. A couple of nightstands were also kept where possible. However, some items looked too outdated and couldn’t be styled, so we replaced them. The same went for the sockets and switches, which were often placed in awkward spots. Since we always aim for both comfort and aesthetics, we slightly adjusted their positions — now each bed has wall lamps, outlets, and switches conveniently placed on both sides.
This bedroom is special — it is located in a semi-basement with a small window, so natural light is limited. Yet the space feels generous: a two-meter bed and a cozy sofa.
To fill the room with light and energy, we designed a wall composition of panels. Light marble-like panels brighten the interior and softly reflect light, while dark wood-effect panels add warmth and depth. We slightly extended the dark panels forward to place gentle LED lighting along the edges, illuminating the marble — and this simple detail already makes the room feel brighter and richer.
Lighting plays a central role here: the chandelier was replaced with a more powerful and elegant model, and wall sconces on either side of the bed create a soft, cozy evening ambiance. The bed is adorned with a throw in calm, pleasant tones that harmoniously tie all the elements together, making the bedroom feel complete and incredibly cozy. Every detail is thoughtfully designed so that the room radiates light, warmth, and harmony.
On the left side of the room, we completely reimagined the space. The old dresser was replaced with a more modern, stylish, and functional piece — complemented by a work surface with built-in outlets, which had been sorely missing. This created a fully functional, cozy workspace, complete with a beautiful boucle fabric chair that invites you to sit down and read, work, or simply relax.
We paid special attention to the window: the curtains now span the entire wall. This not only visually enlarges the window area, filling the room with light and a sense of openness, but also cleverly conceals the closet door. The door had no decorative value and wasn’t needed by tenants, and now it seamlessly disappears from view, preserving the harmonious atmosphere of the bedroom.
Every detail here is carefully considered: the combination of functionality and aesthetics creates a feeling of comfort, lightness, and coziness, transforming the room from just a bedroom into a space where you truly want to live, work, and unwind.
In the second bedroom, we created an atmosphere of lightness and elegant expressiveness. Marble-effect panels were used again as the main decorative element, but this time we chose warmer and softer shades, making the room feel cozy yet sophisticated.
Special attention was given to lighting and accents: striking light fixtures not only illuminate the space but also become decorative "points of attraction," playing with reflections on the glossy panels. The decor was carefully selected to give the room personality.
Since this bedroom is small, we opted for a light decoration: fabric-textured panels in colors close to the walls, creating a sense of space. Black connections add contrast, while the golden sheen of the panels makes the room more interesting and subtly radiant.
Black bedside tables with textured fronts give character, and golden light fixtures add elegance. There is no wardrobe in this room, so floor-standing racks provide convenient storage.
The curtains run from floor to ceiling and cover the entire wall, visually increasing the height and space of the room. The result is a cozy, bright, and stylish bedroom, despite its small size.
This bedroom is also small, and a key feature of its layout was the need to install an air conditioner directly above the bed.
Bright parrot-shaped light fixtures were chosen for the room, immediately drawing attention and setting a playful mood.
In upgrade projects, it’s always important to decide what is more effective: a partial renovation or a full one. In this case, we found that the beds were still in good condition. The floor tiles are small but neutral in color, and the wardrobes are also neutral — these elements could be kept. For the future, a good idea would be to replace the doors with modern ones.
The main cost in such projects is labor. Almost always, electrical work is required: to create a comfortable atmosphere, wall sconces need to be added by the beds, electrical outlets installed, and sockets placed on both sides of the bed — this is the minimum plan.
Often, full painting of the rooms is necessary, but in this case, the main color was pleasant and had been updated recently. Traces of electrical work were simply hidden behind panels.
Planning the project and logistics also require time and budget. However, in many cases, these measures alone can refresh the space, increase the property’s value, and make it stand out in rental searches without the need for a full-scale renovation.
