Villa Agnanti in Paliouri

About the project

The aim was to renovate a villa for rental and sale.
The villa was furnished, but with the existing interior it was not rented well and did not attract the interest of potential clients, despite the stunning location and direct sea view from most of the rooms.
Together with the clients, the style chosen was modern Art Deco, light and solemn, with marble finishes and blue colour accents echoing the sea.

Living room

One of the big highlights was the redesign of the living room. There were many niches and ledges that made the space uncomfortable, as well as little daylight.

Solutions:

  • expanded the window openings without dramatically changing the facade of the house. Windows were made thin and without built-in blinds.
  • swapped the living and dining areas, optimising the space.
  • did some work with lighting: made different scenarios with Led lights, pendants, sconces
  • closed the niche under the staircase by knocking out the wall from the opposite side and making a storage room there.
  • successfully fitted a small sofa into the niche, diversifying the seating area.
  • hung a large 65-inch TV on the wall, which can be seen from the sofas and the dining area.
  • placed a large dining table for 8 people. Visually expanded the space with a mirror

Master bedroom

The room with the best view ever! The following changes were made here:

  • made one entrance to the floor and removed an extra separate door to the bedroom. Removed most of the wall between the bed and the sofa area, visually expanding the space.
  • emphasised the height of the ceilings with wallpaper and backlit framing.
  • enlarged the bathroom area by making the entrance to it from the bedroom, thus creating an en suite bathroom.
  • add colourful accents

Second bedroom

This room also has a marvellous sea view, but the space was not graced with old tiles, raw walls, old-fashioned wardrobes and curtains.

  • lightened the wardrobe, making it white and partially open.
  • decorated the headboard with wall panels
  • replaced the curtains
  • removed the massive structure opposite the bed, leaving space for a TV.
  • as in all the rooms, made different lighting options.

Third bedroom

This room previously had 2 twin beds facing the entrance, plus an awkward wardrobe, the space was unoptimised and uncomfortable.

  • decided to put in one double bed.
  • the wardrobe was moved to the window area, built into the columns, so that it is almost invisible.
  • instead of the headboard, we used upholstered panels, thus decorated the room.

Fourth bedroom

This room doesn't get enough daylight, so we made it as bright as possible.

  • replaced the old wardrobe doors with white ones
  • replaced the curtains
  • closed the niche under the window and made a storage space for suitcases.
